My vehicle is a 1992 Honda Accord EX
As you guys may recall I have an old topic about my A/C troubles and how I live in South Florida. Well I've recently been looking more into it and I have more info for my issues and hopefully you guys will help me.
Well now I can say the system is properly charged with freon. As I've vacuumed all the old freon and air out of the system then recharged it with fresh freon fully and completely. I even looked through the small little window on the accumulator/drier and I see the freon in there and there are no air bubbles.
Now even after doing this my air compressor clutch wouldn't kick on with me pushing the AC button. The light above the button wouldn't come on. So I found the power source on the compressor which is a wire that is directly on top of it i think. I then connected that directly to the battery to bypass whatever isn't allowing my compressor to kick on at the push of the AC button. Once I connected this the compressor would kick on and the clutch would be engaged. I thought that hmmm since i did this i should be blowing cold air now but sadly enough I am still not blowing cold air and the light above the ac button would still not come on. So i then began to think that the expansion valve could be the culprit since I heard a hissing noise coming from behind the glovebox. I took the glove compartment out and finally got access to the evaporator core and expansion valve. The expansion valve was freezing cold and the evaporator was real cold aswell. But yet I still wasn't blowing out freezing air temps. Now I'm at the point where I'm stuck and don't know what could possibly be the problem.
Please any help would be great
