ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

It's a generic cheapie header. Won't give a significant gain, but it's a good manifold replacement if yours is cracked, or your flex pipe is damaged. The only header you can really expect any worthwhile performance gains from is the Bisimoto header.

from what i noticed about these Generic style header(s) out there, is that if you modify the collector your get more a gain than leavin it at 2in.

i want to do this so bad, i have the oem down pipe. its creating a bottle neck, if i can mod the collector to 2.25 to match my exhuast piping my car will feel like its breathing better, i sure ill feel a diff bein that im the driver.

Yeah, you can do that. It might give you another 5hp or so. Of course, a good 2.5" collector, like one from Burns Stainless, will cost $100 or more. Then you'd have to buy flanges, and weld everything together. If you have to pay to have the labor done, you could be looking at a total cost that's over $400. To me, that's too much money to spend on a header that's likely not going to give even half of what the Bisimoto header does. Granted, that's just my assumption. I haven't actually seen any dyno results from a cheapie header with a 2.5" collector.

my idea was, cuttin it rite before the collecter, have my welding shop weld a piece of 2.25 pipe from there, take a small flexpipe thats 2.25, they wont do str8 exhuast jobs without a flexpipe they run it to the cat at 2.25 to finish it off, my local shop can do it for about 40 bucks, ill buy my own flex pipe tho.

i think outlet of stock downpipe is 1.75 not sure. i no it aint no 2in.

FYI, andysautosport.com has the WORST reputation... on this site alone, I can think of quite a few people that have been sent the wrong parts (one was an entire body kit for the wrong car!), ordered parts that were out of stock and refunds took weeks, or just never got their parts (and were given the runaround by employees).

NOBODY likes that site. They have tons of stuff, and they have good prices... but their stuff is crap, and their service is worse than crap.

I've got a full exhaust from the head back from Spyder. Except for a little rasp at 2500 rpms under partial throttle and a slight fitment issue at the back bumper I'm very happy with it. Like Deev said, unless you're buying bisi's header, it really isn't much different from any others. Unless you're going to do a full exhaust, I wouldn't expect much of a boost from just the header.
The welds and quality on the whole thing are all excellent on mine, and I haven't had any leakage or loosening problems. I would try contacting them to find out where else it's available before ordering anything through Andy's. I've had nothing but problems with andysautosports.
