ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Could be defective, could be bad wiring or a dirty connection... could actually be low oil pressure.

                  Glad you figured it out.

It's a pain when stores don't know what they're dealing with. Sadly, most of them are that way. My friend applied for a store manager position at Autozone... "no automotive knowledge required".

It's sad, alot of places won't hire you if you say you have experience working on cars and stuff. The days of knowledgeable staff are long gone at most places, specially at lube places, they want you to not know anything so they can "train" you. Any suggestions you get from the kids at shucks or autozone will most likely now be derived from what his "boi" who has a "hatchi roku" told him.

Yeah, very true... Or from what they've picked up from customers, who may know even less than they do.

I walked into Autozone once with an oxygen sensor in my hand. I asked the guy behind the counter if he had an oxygen sensor bung in stock. His face lit up like a puppy that pleased his master, he bounded onto the sales floor, trotted over to the special tools section, and proudly displayed an oxygen sensor socket. You know... so I could properly remove the part that I had IN MY HAND. I wished I had a rolled up newspaper at that moment... Once I explained what I was looking for monosylabically, the guy let me wander around in the stock area myself to search for what I wanted. No luck.
I never saw that employee again. Maybe he ended himself.

Pep Boys actually has a service department, though. Some of those guys SHOULD know some stuff. Of course, the service guys don't sell the parts. They just turn the wrenches.
