ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    AIB black box picture

Can anybody tell me this AIB box looks like I am going to th jy tomorrow to get the a6 manifold and I don't know what that AIB thing looks like. Thanks

If by AIB you mean the Air Intake Box, it is the black box directly behind the battery at the right front corner of the car. I don't believe the intake box is any different between the EX and other models.

        Or the f22a6

I dont have a picture but i can assure you this. It is the only thing bolted to the bottom of the intake manifold. 2 bolts, a connector and a few vacuum lines hold it in its place.

That's it so is the connector electrical and if it is will there be a plug on a f22a1 engine for that box I know I also need the ecu from the a6 correct? What was the number for that ecu p06 or something like that right.

Not too hard to find a picture on Google... Remember, if it's a Honda part, and you know the name of it, someone, somewhere on the internet, is selling it. Usually, they will have a picture. Search Google, search Ebay, and search forums... you WILL find it.

The box behind your battery will open the I.A.B! if you have a cold air intake then your not using that box anymore, so just remove the line coming from the mani, cap the mani, take the line you just removed and plug it into the back of the mani for a clean look, then route it like you would "The Black Box" run a vacuum line out of the the valve on the box into the bulb on the I.A.B plate, when you wire the box in make sure you put the ecu signal on "top" or on the wire closest to the locking clip on the plug, then a remote 12v(i tapped into the I.A.C.V, same plug setup negative on top 12volt on bottom) goes on the lower wire or the wire farthest away from the locking clip

And for all you Lakersfans a pt6 ecu from a 92-93 ex will send the signal to open the I.A.B

If the vacuum is hooked up right and the box is unplugged electronically then the iabs will stay closed, its vacuum that keeps the iabs closed, when the ground is completed by the ecu then the valve on the black box closes stopping all vacuum into the iab, make sure you check the position of the arm while the car is off compared to while its running to determine if it is opening and closing by vacuum, then check your wires
