ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

The PT3 or P12. Unless you have a lot done, you don't need Hondata. In fact, you can have a tuneable ECU for far less than Hondata. Learn something on your own. Don't just listen to what everyone tells you.

Don't talk to guys at Autozone. Most of them don't know a damn thing. If you know nothing yourself, you won't be able to tell the difference. They all think they're experts.

I suggest you read a book.

As for multiple threads... it's better that way. I'd rather see 6 threads asking 6 separate questions, than one confused thread asking 6 questions. This site is intended to be a searchable database. Threads dealing with singular issues make searching for answers much easier.

The PT3 and P12 are OEM Honda units. You already have a PT3.

        See http://pgmfi.org/ for reprogramming it.

Forget about the s300, thats at least $300+ plus dollars that you don't need to spend. If you just want a cheap way to increase power out of your ride, find an prelude S and take out the P12 ECU. If you've done the A1/4 to a6 conversion, get the the pt6.

Why do you need a new ECU anyway?

The S300 is one of the most expensive routes for ECU tuning. A new one will run you about $600, without ECU or installation. Sometimes you can get them already installed in a P28 (or P06, etc) for about $700 on ebay. So if you have the money to spend, it's worth it if you have significant mods done to your engine.

I put one on a slightly modified H22A1 and was able to appreciate a small gain with proper dyno tuning and almost constant street tweaking.

For what most enthusiasts do to modify their Accords, the stock ECU is able to handle it quite well. You can go with the Prelude P12 for a small gain if you can find one for a decent price. When the mods get heavier you can go to a chipped P28 or P06 or P72, but it would have to be tuned for your specific setup just like the S300.

The one with the F22A1 is the one with the P12. The ECU will say P12 on it.

And it's not the Type S. Just the Prelude S. BIG difference between the two (like... 95hp... and the fact that the Type S wasn't sold here.)
