ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

What ecu do I need with a f22 frank engine?

So I need to know what ecu do I need to get my car running. I know a P06 that is chipped would be best, but is there one I can just plug in for now that will run the car? I am assuming the stock one will NOT work right.

My engine is a F22A1 block, no balancer belt, H23A1 cylinder head, H23 intake manifold with a gutted out Iab spacer, H23 injectors, Egr is the F22 one and is plugged in but not sure where vacuum goes to yet, map sensor is inside car and vacuum is ran to the nipple on top of the throttle body, H23 distributor housing with the stock F22 guts inside.

I am thinking I am gonna fire it this weekend and see if it runs, just not sure on the ecu. If it matters the car is a 1990 accord DX.

If you have any other thoughts or inputs please let me know, I appreciate any advice you guys might have, especially you guys that have done a frank build.

it will run on a pt6, just not very well. when i had my frank, a p06 with a f22b map worked very well. delete the egr, dont need that.

What about a PT3 ecu? I just want to fire it for a few minutes and see if it will run. I still need to get exhaust on it. If I need a PT6 what car comes with that?

PT3 or PT6 will run it just fine. Don't beat on it running one of those, but it WILL run. I've been in a car with an H22 that was running on a PT3...

A custom tune would be best, though second best would probably be the P14 from the H23.

          I hate franks.

P14 has a knock sensor so the car will run super shitty, even worse than a pt3/6

...unless you wire up a knock sensor.

People talk about the knock sensor like it's a bad thing. It's a very good thing to have.

Ok, thanks guys. Since I just want to see if it will start after doing all this work I will just use my pt3. I don't really like frank engines now either but I have maybe $300 at most into it so not to bad money wise.
