ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Good Accord Bad Luck - Idle/fuel?

I recently used some supreme 94 but now i smell fumes(?) or gas from inside my cabin. I used to have idle issues with the locking selenoid clicking I just removed the TCU. But the code zero on the ecu is still on. My idle goes up and down 800-2600 rpms then its calms down after a while. Whats going on with my car people? Thanks for the help

I have absolutely NO idea what you're asking.

Slow down, think about it, and type it out so people can understand you. We don't know you, we can't hear you talking, we don't know your car, and we don't know ANY details about it.

Different gas octane will not cause a leak. Either exhaust or gas is leaking.

Or you put a gas can in the trunk.

I used to have idle issues with the locking selenoid clicking I just removed the TCU.
What did you do after removing it? I don't think you'll get far without a TCU.

The lockup solenoid works at highway speed. Even if it randomly clicked while you sat still, that wouldn't cause an immediate issue… although it would indicate getting a new TCU.

But the code zero on the ecu is still on.
      Are you pulling my leg?

My idle goes up and down 800-2600 rpms then its calms down after a while. Whats going on with my car people? Thanks for the help
You could fix/replace the idle control valve. Mine does this occasionally and I just let it warm up.

Sorry not all of us are familiar with brand names.. Is that even a brand name?

        What is Supreme 94?

Is it a Degreaser, fuel injector cleaner or throttle body cleaner?

Perhaps stating what it is will assist us in understanding what you did to your car.

You said you "used to have idle issues" then you say "My idle goes up and down". Did it go away in between time when you removed your TCU (or do you mean disconnected and reconnected it)?

So do you have idle issues or not?

So do you have idle issues or not? You say you "used to have idle issues" then you say "My idle goes up and down"
94 octane fuel. Completely irrelevant to the questions being asked.

Are you saying I asked an irrelevant question or the OP supplied an irrelevant information?

I was trying to understand the first sentence as a product (unknown at the time) was used prior to the smell of fumes (the problem experienced)

Understanding what product is used I believe is relevant in understanding the back ground information.

Understanding the background information assists in determining if the product played any part in the problem being asked.

You should have a mechanic look at the gas smell issue because that is serious.
But the idle problem is probably a IAC valve going bad.
              IAC=Intake air control valve

They usually have a very slow death....sometimes if you take it off and clean the carbon deposits out of it ...it may work alittle better again

Is the octane rating of his fuel relevant to his question? Think a little before you get defensive.

Honestly though, if you want me to criticize your posts... you post in just about every thread, giving questionable advice. Do you actually have any worthwhile automotive experience yourself? It seems like half of the things you say are merely guesses, or incomplete regurgitations of information you've read on here.

My initial question seeking information on "Supreme 94" indicates I didnt even know it was fuel.

Im not being defensive, but not everyone here has local knowledge of local brands in the US (being from overseas). What may appear to be a dumb question to a local is not to foreigner.

Understanding the details provided is usually necessary prior to giving any informed advise.

I dont remember asking to be criticised and I dont know what your issue is in doing so.

My intention was to help the OP by first making an understanding of the information provided.
