ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

welcome to the site,
name is Earvin, known as TAHSF....i can help you with anything hit me up and any vet on here...like Deev, Chessboxer, drummersteve, visual...those are good dudes...theres more...lol...but for now look em up....hows ur car so far?...
Dont worry about getting a solenoid only. It could be a seized mechanical parts or worn teeth. Either way i'd get a whole one.
Fix this once you have the car running. Then when you fix it, it can be your back up.
A whole starter as a back up is the way to go. You want to just plug and play when stuck in the middle of nowhere.
I love "Plug" and "Play" especially when in the middle of nowhere
Seriously im a good dudeLast edited by JDMDriver; 06-21-2010, 07:34 AM.Rides:

Lol nice to see ya on here meChelle. Shoulda called me lol.
Anyway I was gonna say check the main relay as well, but being able to start with the clutch I doubt that's it. Personally I would go to pull a part and snag a starter or two. If I weren't going to Texas this week I'd grab one for ya on my way home from work.
Like I said when you got it, these are good cars but they do have their problems due to their age. Luckily they are almost always fairly easy fixes and the wealth of knowledge in this site helps lol. Lemme know if ya need any help with it. I'm sure you are more than capable, though
hell the wifes cb is having problems of it's own as well, I think the voltage regulator is crapping out.... I just replaced her alternator last year... It's a job I'm not looking forward to doing again lol.Last edited by darkfusion42; 06-21-2010, 09:00 AM.

Thanks again to everyone for their replies . Going to have the starter checked today and go from there.
Not trying to crank anymore, but will have to push start.
Wish me luck.
And that JDMDriver
Darkfusion- I was going to call you but then I realized it was 1230 at night when i finally got settled down...didnt think you would wanna call that late. lol.

Calling them is usually iffy, you can get the same info on what cars they have in stock on their website. Pap north is most likely to have cb's, they'll probably be stripped tho. South if they have any will probably be nearly untouched lol. Just a heads up.
