ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

    Window Problem (RR Window issue)

I drive a 1992 Honda Accord EX 4dr Sedan...I'm currently having an issue with my right rear window...It seems to not want to go up all the way ...I tried to diagnose the issue my self without much success...From what I can tell you about it is this.

The window won't go up all the way It stays down about 1/2 an inch from the top...So it's not that big of issue since it's not all the way down, but still my window isn't going complete up

Whenever I roll it down or up it makes like this creaky scratchy noise as if there two things scratching against one another...And I have to have someone hold the button up as I push the window for it to go that far up...cause what usually happens is it makes the scratchy noise and would stop half way up...So I took off the door panel greased up the track and that still didn't help

So I left the door panel off and focused on the window going up and down but still don't see where the noise is coming from, as the window is perfectly on the track...At this point I'm thinking that the motor is bad or something and want to know is there anyway you guys can help or anyone who has went through this

I've had that same issue with both of my back windows, I greased the rails and adjusted the window and still would not go all the way up. In my case the motor was just losing power so I went to the jy and got some from another accord that's the best thing I could tell you and chePest solution. Just my .02

that creaky scratchy noise is coming from the cables scratching to one another.. most likely, a piece of plastic pulley from where the cables run through has broken off or the cable has simply come off its rails..

I myself do have this problem, I dont ever open the window though. I tell everyone who sits on that side to not open it. It's not like if I open it then I cant close it. I can close it, I just have to have someone pull on it while i press up on the power for it to go up. Its like when I open it and close it, the window is un-even, like the left or right side comes out more. Im not to the point where I cant close it, but im not opening it again.

that's what happen to mine. I got a new piece to fix it. To roll the window up and down there's a cable that goes from around the window sill in the middle down through a white plastic pulley. All it is is a little track for the cable to follow sandwiched between the two barrier edges to keep the cable on that track. One of those edges broke on mine causing the cable to slip off and be a little lose ending up with the window being half an inch short. I went to the jy and popped that white plastic part off another window and imma replace the broken one with it. I'll let ya know how that goes after I'm do e I stalling my fogs.

I assume you try to close it from the master switch(driver's switch)? try to close it from the passenger door switch, if same result... it's coming from your window regulator.

the regulator alone is $100 from the dealer. $130 from napa, but it comes with the motor, and I think around $60 from autozone. Never could find any from the jy. All of my windows need work, so I've been stalling on it...
