ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    K20 Swap On Cb7

Hey, I don't know if it's racism, but all I find are kits to swap a K20 to a Civic but none to swap a K20 to a CB7...that is my main interest right now. If there is anyone here that has doon this swap and can give me some pointers, or better off a little more details on any specific parts I may need to make this swap other than the engine, tranny, ECU, wiring harness please...HELP Thanks in Advance...

Hasport partnered up with 2 point 6 (a member here) and developed some mounts for the K-series to be installed into the CB7. It is however VERY expensive and is going to cost you a good chunk of change to install one in a CB7. Its easy and simple on the Civic because the support is there along with the parts. One day, it will be as simple as an H22a swap in the CB7 but it isnt right now. You are better off looking into throwing in a built F22a or H22a and you can have shit loads more power than a stock K will produce.

The Hasport kit is for the Accord K24 only. It would have to be modified for the K20.

"Racism"? No. It's only fairly recently that companies are making engine swap kits. Most tuners in the past fabricated their own mounts. People these days are lazy. They want everything in a kit.

IMO the K is great but I still think the H can shut it down when modded right.

You can easily make more power than you'll ever need on the street with the F, H, K, whatever...

This is true... I wouldn't want to put down more than ~200whp in a stockish CB7 anyway

I'd say 300whp is where things can get out of hand. By that point, you're going to have traction issues on the street. Most of the CB's normal swap options are capable of 500+whp when fully built as well. More that that, you're really just looking at bragging rights. Putting that down on anything but a drag strip is difficult.

The F22A in your car right now actually has a ton of potential. If you plan on modifying the engine, it has every bit as much as an H22. If you just want stock or near stock performance, then the H22 is the way to go. Otherwise, consider putting money into the F22A.

And the h swap can be done for WAY less.

There is a k24 at the yard here for 950, I've heard. I have seen it, just didn't get a price confirmation

For the money it would cost you to buy and swap the k, you could have a mildly built H22A.

                          1. If you are serious about the swap, look around, a couple of people have done it and there is a kit available.

                          2. You do realize Honda made integra and civic that come stock with the K20? You can pick one up for the same amount it will cost you to put a K into CB. It will also handle a lot better, be more comfortable, more reliable, and you don't need to spend any time doing the swap because the K20 is already there.

                          3. To do everything right and with a motor that is NOT in a questionable condition, you will probably be looking at 5-6K possibly more. That is keeping the engine completely stock at 200hp. For that much you could have either a 250-300hp N/A F22 or a 400-600hp turbo F22.
IMO stick with the F/H in an Accord. The K doesn't offer anything that the F/H cannot do besides the 6th gear. Just my opinion.

It's good if you're going for "baller" status with h22-like performance. I'd say mod your F
