ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

    Aftermarket power window motors/regulators...

I've replaced 2 of my window regulators so far. One was from some unknown company, YEARS ago, for the rear passenger side. It's been perfect.

My driver's side was from RockAuto.com, and it never worked properly. I don't know if it's due to my installation, or if it was a poorly made product.

Anyway, I removed that regulator, and I need to replace it. I'm hesitant to go back to RockAuto, and I don't want to go OEM (they don't come assembled... I don't feel like putting it together!)

Does anyone have any suggestions? Or has anyone else had luck with a RockAuto front regulator recently?

    tried tasauto?
You don't have to like what he did, but I would hope that you can appreciate the time, money and love that went in to the build. If you can't, you're not really an enthusiast, just another dumb kid with a car.-visualpoet

Quick question, is "aftermarked" similar to "aftermarket"? haha, I just had to.

What about eBay? You may get lucky and find something worthy there??

Not sure if they're any good on ebay, though.

And I thought I'd fit in with the noobs and misspell my title... (actually I was rushing because I was heading outside to work on the CB7... it's almost road-worthy again!)

I've gotten some good quality "aftermarkeT" parts off eBay. I guess it all depends, I mean, you could get some aftermarket stuff that will outlast oem, and vise versa.

And I'm not even sure why I noticed you misspelled that in your title, I normally just skim over titles, then read the post.

Its gettin hot so we decided to replace our burnt out drivers side regulator. I found one on ebay for a shipped price of 42.00 only to find when installing it and mounting everything by the factory mounting locationsm the window would catch about half way up and tilt towards the front of the car. I pulled the window seals from the guiding tracks and cleaned them through end to end. Then lubed and cleaned the window, this helped but didnt fully resolve the back corner of the window from poppong outward and not sealing. So after pulling the window back and in so it would seal fully at the top I removed the 2 lower track screws located behind the motor on the regulator. The lower track jumped downward so low it missed the factory drilled holes. I redrilled the holes in a lower position and this helped, so I repeated and did it again. If the window tilts forward popping the rear upper corner outward you need to redrill the 2 holes. This keeps a backwards tilt on the window holding it in the alignment tracks. FWIW my window after initial install came completly out of the front guide the first time I rolled it down. PITA....

take a 12v or higher battery like one from a cordless drill, and a set of wires with the ends stripped. Go to a salvage yard, find an accord like yours, and remove the regulator. Using the battery you can run the window up and down letting you get to the 10mm bolts holding the glass in, and run the regulator to a point where the scissors mechanism is crossed in a straight line. Then unbolt it and go. At least this way you also know that it works too cause you've run power to it.
