ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Code 30 AT FI

Code 30 is AT FI? so.... wtf does that mean? My transmission is skrewed?

    #2
I assume you mean CEL error code 30, seeing as the TCU doesn't have a code 30. WTF is "AT FI"? Code 30 is Automatic transmission A signal. To be honest, I don't know what the hell that means... but it doesn't mean your transmission is "skrewed".

Give us more details about your car, and we can help. Otherwise, you're on your own.

Ok, so iv started to stop being so lazy and I got down there to check the codes. Don't ask how I got 30. So I got 1, 2, 7, 8.
      1 O2A - Oxygen sensor #1
      2 O2B - Oxygen sensor #2
7 TPS - throttle position sensor
8 TDC - top dead centre sensor

One of the o2 is on the header, or so I assume, were is the other? And were is the tdc censor?

What engine are you running? And what ECU?

You only have one oxygen sensor... I honestly don't know why there are 2 codes for it.
TPS is on the throttle body. The screws look like rivets. File a slot into them, and back them out. Another solution is to replace the throttle body with another one that has a good TPS in it.
TDC sensor is in the distributor. Usually, the solution there is to replace the distributor.

You might want to double check all your wiring... that's a lot of major sensors going bad.

Running H22A nearly all stock, ecu is TBD unless you can tell me.
Apparently I had a big miss understanding about how the codes work. Being as horrifically sick as iv been don't help, yet i insist on working. So the codes are not for the engine but the transmission. What flashes is D4 not the CEL, so they are transmission codes? Not the Code 30 I had originally thought, but tranny codes the same. If im understanding right.

if you can get ahold of a spare tcu, you should FIRST try swapping the tcu out

When asking for help, ALWAYS specify which engine you have in your car. Hopefully you are running a P13 ECU, which is the right one for the H22A.

As for the codes, yes, these are TCU codes. Significantly different from the ECU codes, which would be flashed by the CEL.

The list provided above shows the TCU codes. Trying a known good TCU is the easiest option, if you can get your hands on one. Otherwise, it would be very wise to locate the items that are giving error codes and make sure everything is hooked up properly. It's likely that whoever did the swap didn't hook things back up as they should have (I assume you did not install this H22 yourself...)
