ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    car boggs when turning

hi guys! i have a 93 accord ex 5-spd. my car has been bogging down while turning. this just happened sunday. i would take off from a stop. come to a corner and make the turn. the car would start bogging in the middle of the turn or sometimes after the turn. the bogging can last up to 5-6 seconds (5-6 being the longest) i cant really give any specifics because its happened a handful of times. totally random. when i say the car boggs i mean the car moves back and forward like as if you had a bad launch. this happens under normal city driving rpms under 4k rpm. i think i may have a bad p.s pump because sometimes at a stop or at low speed when i try to turn i can hear it. not a squeal but metal on metal type sound

sorry if my description isnt bringing up any ideas. ask as many questions as you like.

    thanks
    -steve

This may be a silly question, but are you running low on gas in the tank when it occurs?

Either your power steering pump is causing more load on engine or your base idle is not properly set.

To eliminate P/S pump out of equation, remove the P/S belt. Run engine for a couple days and if no engine bog, then you know it was pump. Otherwise consider the below.

If your engine bogs (engine RPM go down temporarily, slowly recooperates) when headlights, A/C and/or rear defrost are on, then it is improperly set base idle.

Reference DIY sticky for setting base idle.

clean iacv first and then set base idle. if that doesnt work, check your power steering rpessure switch.
