ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

my passenger one does this (goes up slow then dies out) after it sits a bit (5 seconds) it sometimes goes up a bit more. i think its off track but everytime i put it back on it just comes back off a day or two later.

Take your door panel off and make sure your regulator bolts aren't loose. That happened to me, and it ended up destroying the mounting holes in the door frame... Basically, I may never have a working window again unless I replace the door on my freshly painted car.

Don't use WD-40. Petroleum based lubricants will destroy the rubber, and make the problem worse when they dry up. Go to Autozone and pick up some powdered graphite lubricant. It's what they used from the factory. Get that in the tracks, and if it's a lubrication problem, that will fix it.

If you ever remove your window, DO NOT clean the black stuff off of the sides! It's not dirt! (another mistake I made...)

If lubing it doesn't work, replace the regulator. Be sure to adjust it properly.

it is most likely not a short as 3 out of my 4 windows dont work and im still tracking down the problem but i would try the graphite first i havent had time to mess with my drivers window witch is slow also

have you tried pulling off the door panel and checking the motor itself and the wiring for the elec. windows? try that and see if it may be a motor problem, there could be a short in that as well..

                              Window problem

JDMboi; Don't sweat the $$, just get one from pick-A-part, $10oo. I also don't mean to thread jack, my driver OK, pass. frnt. won't roll down at all. Pass rear rolls down, but has a real hard time rolling up. and stops a 1/2 " from top. I guess are problems are regulater, motor or switch ? Right ? Graphite's the nuts !!
