ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

vtec with a switch? Why would you ever wanna do that? Vtec engages and disengages when it does for a purpose. When disengaged its on the low cam profile for more torque. When on the high cam profile its for hp/top end. Flip it on to low and you'll take off like a sloth. Flip it too late and your cars and cars behind....If you want adjustable vtec and not the hassle of flippin a switch......just get a vafc...you can set it where ever you like between 3k-7k and not have to worry about flippin a switch.

the thought going thru the OP's head when he asked this:

"mayne it wood be hellza dope if i could wire my VTECH switch so it wood work like NOS"

        bad idea.

        sooo, no.
        nobody will teach you how.

you wanna fuck your motor up? learn how to do it yourself.

Hook it up properly. There's no need to have it hooked to a switch. VTEC is not like a turbo boost. It's a shift in camshaft lobes, and it is made to work properly with the ECU's fuel map. Unless you think you're smarter and faster than your car's computer, do it the way it was meant to be done.

"my car was automatic but I did it manually"? What does that mean?

There is a detailed walkthrough on the H22 swap in the "Swaps" section of this site. You might want to check it out.

because of the 1st question i must ask first........what ecu are you using? With the incorrect ecu, you cant run vtec at all. You need either a p13 ecu or a chipped p28 to run vtec. The chipped p28 needs to have a basemap on the chip for the h22. If your good up to that point......

This thread will tell you everything you need to know about wiring it up correctly and everything else required to wire up for the swap.

there is no "manual". its not a Honda approved swap.

why the hell do folks attempt a motor swap when the first clue as to how to do it properly cant be found?

                  take it to a shop or do at least a little bit of research as to how modern engines run before you go and say;
"shit. if i can dump a 454 in my chevy why cant a H22 just drop right in my accord?"

seriously. take it to somebody who knows what they are doing before you destroy your car.
