ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Would a bad axle cause....

Like the whole car to shake it was not doing this before I installed it to check one side when I had installed the other side it started to shake the car when I put t in gear I was wondering could a bad axle cause this?

IF the car is not moving, no. Usually shaking from an axle is much more noticeable under higher RPMs.

if you're stationary, then its your motor mounts. But I don't quite understand what you're saying

When you're in motion it could also be wheel balance.

Are you saying that the axle itself came apart or the boot? If the axle itself came apart I would not recommend putting it back together yourself. I would buy a new or refurbished one. And lastly I would definitely not loosen the axle nut they are supposed to be tightened down to 180 foot pounds I believe. Loosening it would be dangerous to drive on.

It's the axle if it shakes under acceleration but stops when you let off the gas or release the clutch. If it shakes while coasting, could be a number of things, tie rods, ball joints, tires out of balance. If your axle actually separated, for gods sake man get a new one

Put some punctuation or something in there and maybe we can understand what you are trying to say.

Front axle nut (spindle nut) should be tightened down to 181 lb ft according to the honda service manual. Yeah, definitely make sure that one is tight. I think that if that nut is loose, it could cause a shake. Most definitely.

A bad inner cv joint will cause really bad vibrations on the highway.

If your car is in the air and your suspension is hanging all the way down the axle angle is increased and could be causing the problem.
