ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

might wanna check the ignitor inside the dizzy.
yes a new dizzy should fix your issue.
cheaper route is grab a junkyard ignitor.

As for your stumbling problem without a cel, i would say it could be related to the oxygen sensor, as a test you can unplug the o2 sensor and see if the stuttering goes away (yes the cel will come on).

Also if you saw your rpm gauge bouncing/dancing independant of actual engine rpm, then thats the classic sign the the igniter (ignition control module or icm) under the distributer cap is on its way out. Replace it before it leaves you stranded.

can i by just the Ignitor? i was told the stutter is from my dizzy not being able to be set, which is causing obvious bad timing. so ill wait for a ignitor or dizzy to come my way thats affordable. Not to mention i get a blow out today! an have NO SPARE!! this car is acting out against me! lol

Yes you can get an igniter by itself, it should be cheaper then the whole distributer assembly. Grab one or two from a junkyard. It shouldn't be all that much.

i get a hesitation when i tap the throttle... does the A6 intake manni differ from the A1 manny? Injectors bigger smaller? as i said, im not getting any CEL's altho i did when my TPS clip cracked so i had to zip tie it back up, but now no CEL...
i get spudder/hesitation when i first try to accel. then clears up. when in gear an foot on the brake, it spudders, an drops idle a lil ....... any suggestions? dirty IAC valve? EGR? please help! this sucks!!!
The A1 and A6 are pretty much identical except for the cams...the lack of cel's and the hesitation when hitting the throttle could be a bad O2 sensor..are you running rich? and if so what are you running? if you have boost you shouldn't be running any higher than 10:1

maybe its another problem i have (or i just have a worse case) but i just put in a brand new ignitor and im still having the same issues with the jumpy tach and cold starts. you should let me know what happens when you get that new dizzy in though cause this is really starting to annoy me especially since i drive a manual i have no idea where my real rpms are because of the tach thing. and does yours only start bouncing like around 3k?
