ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Fuel Pressure Regulator

My car doesn't have the OEM FPR and few mechanics told me that I need one, there's some black spots going out by the muffler, and sometimes I feel something wrong with the acceleration (like It loose power when I press the acc.), maybe because of that. But I don't know if get the an aftermarket or the OEM. I was checking this one on e-bay:

please, tell me what you think...thanks

Take a picture of the fuel rail, It should have a FPR on it on the drivers side end of the rail.
You'll know if its there - It will have a vacuum hose going to it.

seems kinda a little to cheap for me to trust it. If I were you i would just go OEM to be on the safe side even if you do have to spend a little extra.

I was once told when buying things. Either buy right or buy twice so go OEM

without the fpr you're running full fuel pressure all the time. You only need full pressure at WOT. Sometimes ricers like to tell you to remove it to gain hp...because they think more fuel means more power...and they are wrong.

Go to a junk yard and get one...hell there are several members here that prolly have one in their tool box and don't even know it

But I'm wondering why/how you don't have one...either way...you should be able to get a jy one for cheaper than any aftermarket/ebay one. And...you don't need an adjustable one either...don't get suckered into that myth either.

I'm agree w/ you. Seems like the previous owner deleted the FPR. I've been watching those aftermarket with tachometer and color because the esthetic and thinking about to set it on the specified psi too. But I saw a few OEM ones on e-bay between $12 and $30 bucks. I believe I'm going with any of those.
