ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    TPS and Problems.

Hey everyone. I am currently working out the final bugs in my F22B DOHC swap. Tonight I tried to calibrate my TPS sensor in, due to my throttle being erratic. I used the multimeter method but all I can get is a straight voltage of 0.641 volts even when I'm moving the sensor back and fourth with the key on. I know the sensor is good because its the one my accord came with and the throttle worked fine, before the swap. And I'm 95% sure I have the black plastic piece and spring installed correctly. Any comments or guidance is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Arent you supposed to use ohms? I could be wrong......

The guide I was using said to use voltage which would make sense due the change in voltage at idle to wide open throttle which is how the tps works. But I also tried ohms as well and I'm getting a constant reading with that as well.

make sure the throttle plate is closed completely...otherwise you might have to make more adjustment in your tps.

what he said....my throttle plate sticks sometimes. Just make sure your throttle cable is loose enough to let it close fully.

Just posted this up earlier today on another thread...

As someone mentioned, you will have to remove the TB from engine. Use a cut-off wheel/dremel to make a slot across both factory screws. Use flat-head to remove.

Buy 2 screws from hardware store to replace, reinstall TPS with news screws only finger tight. Reinstall TB onto engine and connect electrically.

            Set TPS to 0.45V closed.

            - TPS needs to be electrically connected.
            - Turn key to ignition "II" position.
            - Multimeter red probe (backprobe) into red w/blk strip wire at driver-side upper shock mount connector.
            - Multimeter black probe on negative battery terminal.
            - Multimeter set to voltage (you'll be measuring 5V max).
            - With probes set, multimeter should read somewhere 0-5V.
            - Loosen TPS screws, rotate until 0.45V and snug screws.
            - Move onto setting base idle, then base ignition timing.

See CB7Tuner DIY stickies for base idle & ignition timing procedure.

Just thought I'd let everybody know, that I finished my F22B DOHC swap. It has been running strong for about week now, with no problems.
