ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Building The Ultimate H22A for N/A - Pistons, Cams, Everything

I was wondering, if you guys could build a the best H22A for use in road cars for N/A use what parts would you guys use for the:

    Camshaft
    Connecting Rods
Crankshaft (Is this possible to change it?)
    Cylinder Head
    Block Parts
    Valves
    Pistons and Rings
    Rocker Arm
Header (Bisi of course, wait I can't find a Bisi H22A header...)

For the tranny what clutch, and other tranny parts would you guys put in?
250 HP or torque would be the MINIMUM but I would like to get enough power to run with the EVO's, STi's, maybe even older Skyline's etc and beat them. For that I would need 320 roughly correct, not to mention smaller mods like intake and catback?

It wouldn't take too much to get 250hp out of a JDM H22A. If you do a mild build on the head (springs, retainers[Skunk2 is a good brand], minor port and polish) along with a Skunk2 IM, good name brand header and CAI, and get a good tune with a system such as Hondata you could easily have 250 to the wheels. And of course keep that all together with ARP head studs and you would be in business.

What about the maximum power, lets say all the best parts w/e they are probably a lot from Bisimoto. What would you be looking at? 250 would be the minimum but I would like to get enough power to run with the EVO's, STi's, maybe even older Skyline's etc. For that I would need 320 roughly, but yet again with that much power on FWD wouldn't that cause major torque steer?

Your going to need more than that especially 250 wont cut it. youll need to go turbo imo. Torque steer not if you have lsd that will be non-existant. id worry about traction more than torque steer bud.

Could I hit around 320 with N/A, as you said I could get 250 with a mild change.
Turbo is too complicated for me at the moment, yes I could ALWAYS turbo and get a shit load of power, but I want it to last and not die on me. I can turbo something else later on but not now with my crap knowledge.
