ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Triming rear skunk2 strut perch

Got the skunk2 set-up (sport shocks and coilovers), did plenty of research, and now ready to install myself. But now I found that I will have to trim the rear strut perch, has anyone here had to do this? It would be nice if the rear strut perch was welded on upside down, the coilovers would fit pefect. Thanks in advance for your input...

You have to trim it? I've never heard of that... Any reputable company should not sell you a product that you have to modify before you use it. Especially suspension components, that could put your life at risk if they fail. I would contact Skunk2 and make sure you got the correct parts.

The Skunk2 shocks are actually fairly terrible. I've never heard a single person that was happy with them.

Actually I should have taken a pic and submit it which I will later tonight. A pic would do more justice in explaining what I mean. Yes there are alot of people who don't like skunk, but there are others who do and swear by them. I'm also on a budget. Once I get it together I will do a write up for those interested..Nat

Well... the reason people don't like their struts is because they aren't properly matched to the springs, giving a harsh and unpredictable ride... and they blow very quickly.

I like the company, but I honestly feel they failed us in this department. They are not a company that deals with Accords... they know Civics and Integras quite well, as well as any engine that goes into them (so their H22 parts are very good)... But their suspension parts for our cars have genereated nothing but horrible feedback on this forum for many many years.
