ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Dont waste your time. You wont notice any more preformance just noise. Our cats flow good enough for a stock engine.

Our cats flow good enough to serve WAY beyond stock. There's really no reason to replace it unless it's clogged up. Even a test pipe isn't going to give you more than 1 whp. Save the money and spend it on something more useful.

dont do it. That is a recipe for a headache trust me. Between the noise and the smell it's almost unbarable! I did it and regret it everytime i start my cb up.

My friend runs a test pipe at the track ONLY. His car normally sounds great. With the test pipe, it sounds like shit... and smells just as bad. If you ever want to run a test pipe, do it for track use only. Run the cat on the street.

Plus, we all have to breathe this air. There are plenty of idiots out there polluting our environment. We don't need to add to their ranks.

I just installed a catback and replaced my cat with a resonator and I cannot tell any difference other than the smell. And the rasp sucks.

I'm actually rather annoyed that I did it.

If you want a "high flow" cat that actually works, pick one up from www.sms-products.com

Otherwise, the stock cat works fine. Mikey, you could very well be losing power to that resonator over your cat.

I still have all my stock exhaust sitting in the garage, however I'll need an adapter to go from 2 1/4 on my car to 2 1/2 on my catback.

Right now I have a 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 resonator. I have noticed minimal gains with the exhaust except in super high revs like 5000+ rpm at high speeds.

The smell will kill you if you delete it, when i had my header-to-downpipe leak, i was getting alot of headaches and had to always have my windows rolled down, granted this is not a leak that will roll into the cocpit, it smells terrible, along with the loud rassssssp...
