Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

Motor mount question

    Motor mount question

    Getting ready to pop the motor into my car... I know bb4 is the mount i need, but bb4 is 92 -96 with h22 ? for timing side this is.

    My block is f23 with h22 head, i have 3 mounts here one from f22 that doesnt fit, one from the h22a(jdm? or h22 into civic mount) part number on it is H7b, when its bolted on the engine, looks like it will lean the motor back a bit... i know in a civic thats normal...

    If this is for an Accord, you use the exact same mounts that holds the stock engine.

      its going into a 92 accord wagon, however i dont think the f22 bracket fits the f23... ill have to double check tomorrow when i go back in.

        You might have to swap the rear engine bracket.

          so can you use the prelude mounts? if you can use all the accord mounts for the h swap can you use all prelude mounts then as well?

            No, he is mistaken. You do NOT use the Prelude mounts. Ever.

              for 5th gens you use the driver side mount. thats one of the best parts about the 4th gen you can use stock mounts!!

                By stock engine mounts, I mean stock ACCORD engine mounts, not PRELUDE.

                  ok thanks guys sorry to jack someones thread that clears up my question though ill go ahead and delet my thread i made about this.

                  guess ill just have to try and sell the mounts im getting with my h22

                    Sup...
                    Got sum engine problems right now with my CB7 F22 Engine.
                    Just bout my 2nd CB7. But having problems with smog...
                    1st got gross polluter. Then they told me the EGR valve was clogd i cleaned it out.They told me put metal hanger nd just clean it out threw the valves so i did it.
                    still didn't pass. But went down a little to just Fail.
                    But now he saying its the timing wrong to fix it and to change the Catalytic Converters
                    The Smog paper says failed timing.But the guy keeps telling me to change other things then that.??
                    so what should i do im on a budget with registering the car.

                    Does any 1 have some advise??

                        I would personally say screw the car passing smog a pay me $225 and your car will get smogged while it's sitting in it's current status....I do that ever other year for my European H23Vtec swapped Accord. It beats all the head aches that come with that bs.....
