ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

    o2 sensor in 91 SE

What's the diffrence in LX, EX and SE models for the o2 sensor. I purchased a header for my SE and it had two o2 sensor openings one in the front and one in the bottom near the cat and I havent installed it but I dont see an o2 sensor in the front only in the bottom maybe I am wrong and I didnt see it. I had a LX like 5 years ago and im pretty sure it had one in the front. Can somebody help Thanks

The F22A1 has it in the front. The F22A6 (and I think F22A4) have it down below. The header company doesn't know which one you have, so they put a bung on the header for either location. Use the one in the location that your sensor is in now, and plug the other one.

Thanks, so what would I use to plug it, a bolt with a gasket or something like that. So whats the diffrence in the engines is one better that the other?

What's the difference in the engines? The F22A1 has 125hp, the F22A4 is identical aside from the exhaust manifold, and it makes 130hp, and the F22A6 has a different camshaft, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, and a few other parts... and makes 140hp.

There is no difference in the o2 sensors, other than the location.

The header should have come with a plug. If it didn't, search online for an o2 sensor bung plug.

            1990-1993 DX/LX/10th anniversary Edition = f22a1 ( 125HP )

            1990-1991 EX = F22a4 ( 130hp )

            1992-1993 EX = F22a6 ( 140hp )

            1991/1993 SE = F22a6 ( 140hp )

You have an f22a6 ( well you should )

the o2 sensor wires are different lengths...dunno of any construction difference between them, haven't hear of any, the only difference I know of is wire length...at the stealership...well my local one, they charge more for one than the other.

the ex has longer wires as it is located further down the manifold, the le has shorter wires as it's located higher up on the manifold..

Have you ever seen a dyno showing that swapping that intake manifold actually make more power? Just curious.....

Your header should come with a short bolt that will plug one of the bungs.
Your car should have it in the lower mounting location.

The dyno sheet really isn't necessary, the TB and plenum are both bigger, the H23/A6 manifold has 8 runners as opposed to the A1/A4s 4 runners.

When I double stacked mine with the H23 plenum and tb, I could definitely feel the difference in the low end.

When you say runners do you mean the holes that are inside when you remove the TB? because I changed the gasket to that last week and it had 8 holes for in fron four on the back like this 0000
                        0000

Yeah. Thats the A6 manifold. You can get the H23 plenum, tb and another spacer for a little power boost.

You don't need any extra sensors or anything, basicly you need to just bolt the h23 to the A6 runners using everything thats alredy there. If you want to double stack the spacers, you have to get 2 bolts from the CD5 A/C compressor bracket and 3 from the CB7 A/C compressor bracket.
