ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Timing belt, switching heads

So i've had this relativity nice 1992 honda accord, and I blew the engine, so I went and found another 1991 honda accord with messed up heads, so im swapping the heads from my old car to this 91.
the engines are different because one is a f22a4 and the other is a f22a6, will there be any complications..?
Plus we just tried to fix the timing belt and ran into the harmonic balancer, that was nuts trying to get that off, is there any other surprises ahead waiting for me when I finish the timing belt and when I swap heads?

i would put a water pump in also and make sure you have retainers for the balance shafts 2 needed

and if the a6 cam is ok use that one,and the a6 intake, the a6 valve springs are stiffer ,it all fit`s ,also there spark plugs tube seals under the valve train ,and i would put a new seal on the cam ..you need to take the cam off to get the head on right. i think.... here is a sticky for you http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=88154

nope the cam stays in you do not need to take the cam out to put the head on but water pump oil pump and timing belt would be a good idea to replace . so you dont have to do it later

These engines only have one head.

The head casting is the same between the F22A1, F22A4, and F22A6. The only things that make them different are the parts attached to them. It will go on just fine.
