ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

So I got down to put the wrench back on the bolt and discovered that the bolt had broken free. Either the CRC Freeze off finally worked or the pulling on the chain method worked.
One thing I didn't try (actually didn't occur to me) is hooking another wrench to the 17mm wrench to double the lever arm. Next time I'll give that method a try.
Make sure to put copper or aluminum sealing washers underneath both the fill and the drain bolts before replacing them to help ensure that the fluid doesn't leak out.

I've said this a crapton of times...I had a very persistent 3rd and 5th gear grind that totally went away (even during winter) when I used Honda MTF. It works like Synchromesh but is formulated for Honda transmissions. I thought I was going to have to replace my tranny honestly. At the time I was using a synthetic oil (Mobil 1), which I've heard is one of the worst fluids to use in a transmission.1994 Honda Accord SiR Sports Sedan

ive used the honda mtf on my cd5 it was great!! it masked my 3rd and 5th gear grind.
im a little worried about using it on my cb because i heard that the honda mtf was meant for use in transmissions with paper matierial synchros. im pretty sure our trans has brass synchros.
if somebody can confirm this i would appreciate it
thanks

fro re-filling...wal mart sells this little pump, it's in the marine oil section, that connects to the bottle...if you take the gray piece off the tip, the clear plastic fits RIGHT over the breather tube...worked like a charm. Slow though...course I zip tied it to a small funnel and just let it pour in like that.____

you also could fill it through the back up sensor hole. Just remove the back up sensor and insert a funnel so you don't make a huge mess.

I had to use that funnel that has the clear tube at the end, then put another tube over that because it wasn't long enough. Ugh..
You're supposed to use the fill plug to get the fluid level correct, 2 quarts isn't always right and you don't want it to be too high or too low. I'd recommend buying a new plug from Majestic Honda and replace it.

You heard wrong, the new MTF specifically states on the bottle that it's compatible with every Honda MT. Switch to it and you'll never look back!My Member's Ride Thread
