ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

          What's your need for them?

They really aren't well suited for street use, nor drag racing. If you're using it solely for road racing, that doesn't allow vtec, then go for it.

But, your rockers will suffer, your low end power will suffer, and your idle will be all over the place.

You've made your decision solely on the sound it makes?

lol, not always the best way to choose upgrades. Upgrade your stereo system based on the sound it makes, not your performance parts.

I don't know that Toda supports anything other than Civics and Integras do they?

I thought they were a B-series company. lol
Crane makes vtec killer cams as well, but I'm not sure what motors they work with.

The only true benefit of the cams is to have less weight in the valvetrain, which means you'll have more control in higher RPMs.

I know the ones that you're talking about and like they said, not well suited for the street. They are bad ass in their own way but not for the street. Not very well mannered. They are more of a purpose built cam. Bisi is prob one of the best cams you can get for your H motor.

All a VTEC killer cam does is make a VTEC camshaft into a non-VTEC camshaft. One cam profile... and a wild one at that. What's the point? It sounds "cool" because it has a lopey idle. Which basically means it will SUCK in a reasonable RPM range for a street car.

                      Solution: Disable your vtec.

Or enable it ALL the time (which would probably sound like a VTEC killer cam)

Putting parts on your car without regard to their function is lame.

you dont need vtec killer cams to sound like that. you just need a 272 or stage 2 cam and get the idle low.
