ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    exhaust

I found a hole in my exhaust the other day and I went to the muffler shop today and i was estimated for a $125 repair to replace the resonator pipe. My question is, is there a good cat-back I could purchase thats possibly around $200 because I don't my current muffler and would rather spend more money to just replace it. Thanks.

For $250... that's a hard one. A good cat-back will set you back a little more then that.

Personally I'd suggest you save a little bit longer and get a quality cat-back. Yes you can always hit up eBay... but the ones on there are hit and miss.

Is the hole making your car underivable?

My car is still driveable it just sounds like crap. The hole is right after the catalytic converter the hole is where the hanger was welded on to the pipe.

There are a few exhaust setups in the for sale section, might take a look through there.

I've only heard four or five cat-backs from eBay in person and about a dozen from sound clips on the internet and out of all of those I've only liked the sound of maybe three of them.

Straight pipe! Someone did it to mine but left the resonator, isn't loud or annoying.

I bought my cb with an ebay exhaust i assume since its got no marking of any brand on it. And it is ss full cat back system. I like the sound but i hate the fart can so imma try to chop that off and wield on something else less obnoxious

i would say go to an auto parts store and buy a section of piping thats stock size and have them weld that in. that would be your cheapest opion. if you want a cat back wait to you can spend the money on a good one. but if you do get an ebay one you just get your own muffler welded in so that way you get the sounds you want, and the new pipping.

                        Sold too: Grumpys93, '93CB7Ex, Bunta, prodh22accord, SSMAccord, fleetw00d

jb weld the hole, and save up.
you can do what i'm doing... i bought an ebay catback 119 shipped, and i'm going to buy a ws2 universal muffler for less than 200 shipped... so at about 300 bucks i saved a few dollars on my exhaust.
