ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

I don't know of any kits that do 25... 50 is usually the smallest (i've seen 35...)

Anyway, see what the manufacturer of the kit says. Usually, colder plugs are required. It's really not a big deal.

On such a small shot like that, a standard heat range plug would probably work just fine, however its always a good idea with running nitrous to use one heat-range colder. Also NEVER run platinum plugs with nitrous oxide. Use either standard or Iridium plugs.

Ive been running a NOS brand wet nitrous kit on my car for over a year now, and I just use standard heat-range NGK Iridum IX plugs and have never had an issue. Of course also remember to use 91-93 octane fuel at a minimum, and dont forget to retard the ignition timing around 1.5 degrees, for every 50HP gain (shot). Good luck with the N2O!

I believe Zex sells a dry kit that has a 25HP shot if I remember correctly. But most kits start at a 35HP shot and go up from there. My NOS brand nitrous kit came with 35, 50, and 75 HP jets . Shot size mainly depends on the manufacturer's preference.

But anyway again if were the OP, I would just go ahead and get a step-colder plug just to be on the safe side, and then you can always run a slightly higher shot later if on if you want, and still have a good safety margin. Keep in mind that if you DO run to high of a shot, with too hot of a plug, you can (and probably will) have detonation, which can quickly destroy a stock engine.

In some cases the platinum tip can delaminate from the plug, due to the heat and pressures created by running nitrous. Obviously a small hunk of platinum flying around in the cylinder not good! Solid core platinum plugs MAY be ok, but as a general rule of thumb, you dont want to run platinum plugs with nitrous.

Iridium plugs dont seem to have the same issues that platinum plugs do (Ive been using Iridiums for a while now with nitrous at a 75 shot, and no issues to date).
And of course standard plugs work good with nitrous as well.
