ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

H22A4 Going to Boost it Need Lots of Help

First since none here knows me verry well let me introdice myself and the Love of my life and my girlfriend/wifey knows this that my baby comes first then her.....but she does try to keep up and ill give her that much

Before I got the TSX rims was using the Acura CL rims of an 01CL

and here with the TSX rims i wanted the type S rims since they look bigger but still are 17"

I wanted rear disk breaks but not till recently i learned that i have to get the type R ones dont know if others fit....

for yearss i wanted to put a turbo a my cb7 h22 build I love the sweeech sound and i want lots of Ponies... but always get some people eather telling me not to waste my time or that is a waste of money and that turbo builds give a lot of problems....

first off let me start by saying that i am not looking into doing a half ass job on it my mechanic which a great one expensive fucker but very good mechanic builds H22 turbo civic and H22s are his specialty now i believe that he is trying to cheat me out on what i want to do and my plans

he told me he will get me 389 horses to the wheel with a built for turbo engine cuz im droping cash on it in order to rebuild the engine so it can handle the turbo and run smooth today i bumped into a you tube video with a 530WHP coupe CB7 running with 91 octane fuel......

    heres the Video
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BilRw8SfoDY

Now my mechanic is charging me close to 9k to build the engine and install the turbo without taking out the A/C to give me 389WHP to the wheel cuz if I get more than that i would have to run on racing fuel 100oct...
    so he says...

I am open to suggestions and I was wondering if I should go thru with this. I really want my turbo this year and now more than ever I am more determined and if i can i wouldnt mind knowing how i can get to 500WHP on my h22 with a turbo still ride with 93oct fuel
if i have to take of the A/C to obtain this I wouldnt mind at least i can kill my friends M5

also if your around the NYC area feel free to contact me via Email there might be other things I might need help with on my CB7 please serious people only Email is ErRrrLokiLlo@aol.com

Get a full list of what he plans to do to your motor. $9k for fully built, labor included, honestly isn't a bad deal if he's using good stuff.

389whp is over 450 to the crank. For a car that weighs 3000lbs, and FWD, that's a shitload of power. Trust me, you really don't want more than that for a street car! You WILL be able to kill a stock M5 with that if you can keep traction!

Your mechanic sounds like he knows what he's talking about (I usually say the opposite). He could probably tune it up to 500whp or more... I know guys that are making more. However, reliability will be put at risk with that much power. You're increasing potential for problems even at the 389whp that he's promising you.

My advice is this: learn what it takes to boost an H22. Learn the parts, and why they're necessary. Study turbo in general. Read Maximum Boost by Corky Bell, and even Honda/Acura Engine Performance by Mike Kojima. Make an educated decision as to whether or not your mechanic is pulling your leg... Don't trust friends that are as ignorant as you are, or youtube videos taken by backyard geniuses 5 minutes before their motor blew up.
