ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Wierdd noise when shifted to the 3rd on my 93 EX

Hey guys when I shift my car to third it makes thys big CREAAK sound (sounds more liek a gear getting touching some kind of metal stick....?)but 1, 2,4, 5th shifting iz all good cept for 3rd

also when i shift my car and give it some acceleration the rpm goes really high when I let go on the pedal and give it a little gas its okay, but i cant press it al the way, it drives like the clutch burned out or something ( but the clutch is like new itz like 1 year old)

From what you explained about the clutch, it does sound like it's slipping. If your in gear with your foot off the clutch, your RPM's should not jump up quickly under a high load, but rather be more of a consistent linear increase in RPM's. A sudden jump in RPM's indicates that your clutch is probably slipping.
As for the noise in 3rd gear only, there could be an internal problem such as a worn or damaged 3rd gear synchronizer, or there could be an external problem such as binding or sticky shift linkage.
Start with the basics, check your tranmission fluid level (also couldn't hurt to drain and refill with Honda genuine manual transmission fluid), check for binding shift linkage, loose parts, clutch fluid level / pedal feel, etc. Spray a little lube where the shift cables connect to the transmission in case their dried up and binding. Good luck with the diagnosis!

It might be because I'm very tired and sick right now but I couldnt really understand what you were saying.
A full disk will slip on its on when you push in the clutch pedal (rpms stay or go alittle bit up), put if you mean the RPMs sky rocket when you get on the gas in any gear then that is the clutch slipping.
Grinding may be caused by a lack of fluid or bad syncros (sp?)

Hey guys thanks, it does seem like the clutch is slipping... Question?
If its slipping do you think I have to get a new clutch and whats causing it to slip?

Also I have the manuel book for my accord...But how the HELL can I drain all the manuel transmission fluid and add it back?
Pictures with words would be really helpful (LOL)
