Low Gas Light?

mine still works fine. i have owned mine sine 97 and the light has gone on 3 times. last time was about a month ago.

From the time the light comes on or the time it hits E? We've got 17 gallon tanks.

When I'm on E, I have about 3.5-4 gallons left in the tank. I don't know if my light's still working or not, I haven't paid attention to it for about a year, but it used to work fine. If I get in the car and the needle is low, I stop and fuel up.

wanna revive this thread, my dd cb7's low fuel light isn't working...anyones got a fix for this? maybe the sender in the fuel pump? or what...

I've swapped 4-5 different clusters into my car for various other reason and the low fuel light has never worked, I assume the sender in the tank is bad.

my low fuel light does not come on when i turn the key to accessories and yet it works pretty good, comes on when i have about 2 gallons left

luckily if it is your fuel level sending unit, it is not a part of the fuel pump. and it can be pulled from the trunk
unlike the fuel pump, which does not have an access hole in the trunk

if the light will not come on check the bulb...if bulb is good possibly the in tank sensor

well it could be the light. or it could be the miss sensor or wiring....

But seriously... the best car on earth is a woman, it only needs 5ml per ride full equip... 2 air bags, it starts by a finger... you dont even need a license to ride it! You can get in front or at the back, no need for an oil change!?!? it does it by itself each month

Back to the tread... i never experienced it as i always fill it up when i hit 1/4 of the tank. I should try and see if i got the same problem one day :P
