ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Well either diagnose and fix the problem or remove the cluster and pull the light out cuz apparently taking out the fuse isn't working for u.

its located behind the steering wheel and its easy to replace. You must have turned the clock spring when you took it off. The clock spring is a wire in a roll with a connector at the start and end of it. When you turn it you roll it up and when you turn the other direction it unrolls. If you turn it too much the wrong direction you will break it. You cant break it normally because the steering wheel dosent turn enough.

you will need to replace the cable reel assembly... (it is #3, top left of the page). If you look at majestic honda's site it is under the SRS unit. Also that link is for a 93 accord LX sedan...not sure if that matters. But put in your cars info...not mine

It is $120-$190 brand new (depending on which you need) but is one of those parts that is risky to get used. You could go to a junk yard but you have to know which one to get...and it's related to the SRS (airbag) unit...not something I want second hand.

According to the honda dealership, even giving them your vin won't really tell them which one you need (there are two). I looked up my vin on hondaautomotiveparts.com and it didn't specify which I needed. You have to see which one you have first. These are the two, ALPS (190) and SUMITOMO (120). Don't guess...you MUST know which one.

                    :FYI:
sometimes when people are replacing their rack, they do not secure the steering wheel, letting the steering wheel "free spin" several turns will damage the clock spring...in my case...it's just wearing out as a result of age/use.

                      Bcjammerx is correct for gtaboy24.

However luisitopr12 you need to have the system checked to find out what the code is in order to fix the problem.

If at first you don't succeed, Try again. Don't give up too easily, persistance pays off in the end.
