Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    my one my friend bought a 90 accord 5 speed he also have a 90accord auto. now here is the stupid ? he wanna change the 5 speed to auto what all he need to do lol

      you should tell your friend to learn how to drive and save himself some money and on top of that its more rewarding as a driver to feel at one with the car. with an automatic you just cant get the whole experiance, IMO people that dont want to learn how to drive a standard transmission should have no business trying to modify thier car to make it fast or fun to drive.

      but that is just my opinion

        It would be the opposide of the auto to 5 speed conversion. The transmission mount bracket from the auto would have to be welded into the 5 speed car so the transmission can mount properly. Everything else is just swapping components.

            One more thing... when you make a thread, try to make the title descriptive, so people know what your question is when they open the thread. We don't need to know that it's a stupid (question?). We just need to know what it is you're asking. You'll get MUCH more help that way. It'll also help when someone searches in the future. They'll know if this thread could be relevant or not.

            Honestly, your question wasn't stupid at all. I'm not sure the manual to auto swap has ever been covered here... because nobody wants to do it! The question isn't stupid... your friend's reasoning for doing it on the other hand... that may be.

              The guy might just live in a very congested traffic area...driving a 5 speed everyday in Atlanta traffic is a pain lol.

                I agree with that. I drive 5 speed in the city and on congested highways all the time... and there are times that I really hate it! I'll take back roads that take twice as long just to avoid sitting in traffic!

                Of course, when I had an automatic, I didn't really like traffic any better... it was still irritating!

                      That's right. I hadn't thought about that. Going from auto to manual results in unused wires. Doing it the other way would mean the harness in the manual car wouldn't have the necessary wiring for the auto. The auto harness would need to be swapped over as well (or wires added, which would certainly be a headache)
