Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

Turbo an F22 with automatic?

    Yeah blazen_accord was using a t3 t4 turbo before he upgrading turbo's. Last time I talk to him he was boosting 8psi and it jumps up to 12psi when v-tec kicks in. He can can probably really give you and your friend.

      One headache of tuning an auto is tuning it for the auto upshift with full throttle runing since auto does not need to let off the gas to shift. There is a huge surge in power, rpm drop, injector/ignition timing, a/f ratio need to be set during those auto upshift and auto kickdown downshift. If they are not tune properly and just flooded with fuel runing rich you will lose a lot of power when it auto shift for you. Off course you can manually shift the auto but the TCU and ECU still does all the calculation.

        One idea i thought would be cool is set the ecu to on only engage turbo when the tranny is in sports mode, cause i think the gears run longer then and that would be perfect for turbo (also kind of stealth lol). But yeah no doubt its easier to tune on manual. One thing though, aren't the gears shorter on a h22 auto trans? I know they're shorter with the manual, i could only imagine with auto. How does it feel with turbo?

          Do you understand how a turbo works? You can't exactly disengage it...

          Sport mode doesn't make the gears any longer, it just stays in gear. Autos keep the turbo under load, so the issue of falling out of boost as you shift isn't present... so gearing isn't as important.

            You CAN use a chipped ECU, but not all the programs are going to participate... As fas as Ive heard (from the guy I was going to get to do the tuning) Crome was a no go ... I think he said we had to use Neptune and that he has used it with sucsess on a Prelude (auto turbo) No CEL nothing.

            Il see if I can talk to him again to confirm which program was the one that works.
