well my neighbor was being stupid with my keys and tried to put it in his cd5 well the key went in and started his car. but it won't come out. how can I get my fkin key out of his ignition? It is my only key to my car. the key is stuck to where it is in the accessory position and it will go to on and start. it will not go into the off positon. It's like the key isn't long enough to trigger the release to turn it back.

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Shit. That's not cool. I suppose you've tried everything in the books to get it out, including jiggling the shit out of it, etc? My guess is that two of the matching teeth on either side are "locked" into the cylinder housing, as either a security measure or more of a simple PITA.
Someone else got any ideas?? that's shitty man. I'd never let anyone even breath on my key again let alone borrow it to try in their car. Not after my last Escort key got stuck in a Tracer. It came out eventually but it ended up breaking the key ring end of it...
life is good.

yes it's in park, I've tried jiggling everything. I didn't take anything apart because I wanted to come ask before I broke something. If I do break it while trying to get my key out more then likely I'll have to pay for it. :[Originally posted by scudweiseronce again people, need i remind you that there is no road between the kitchen and the bedroom, and therefore women need not drive?

This kina happened when i was starting my buddys car, it was the correct key but the ignition is kina goin. Got it to turn on but the key wouldnt turn the car off or come out, so the car was sitting there idleing and we couldnt shut it off. HE got it out, i think he turned it TOWARDS the start position while it was running somehow, didnt notice any starter grind but then he quickly turned it back in one swift motion and the thing popped out. We were intitially testing to see if his oil cooler was still leaking, fortinately it wasnt, could have been terrible to watche all the oil drain out on the floor and helplessly watch the car kill itself, unable to shut it off... Thank god!

Try to twist it out as hard as you can, might bend the key.
Or, take out his ignition cylinder with your key in it. When you get it out, set it on the ground. Go into the garage and grab a BF hammer. Then just hit it till it breaks apart and you can get your key out. Then tell him to suck it and go get a new ignition cylinder because he screwed up your key.
