ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

If it is a turbo exhaust manifold, then I guess you can go to a local exhaust shop and have them fab you up a new down pipe with a matching flange to the flange on the manifold (probably t4?)

Is there a whole for an external waste gate? You would have to block that off as well.

It sure would look different that's for damn sure lol, but I mean a header is a header when it comes down to the nitty gritty.

I think he's talking about the OBX intake manifold? Perhaps? I don't really see why you'd use a 350 dollar or more OBX turbo manifold for a N/A car when bisi is just a phone call away IF he's referring to the exhaust manifold.
Been a long time. Still alive...

intake manifolds are not turbo/na specific though.

and he would use it if he doesn't plan to go turbo anytime soon, and wants to make use of a $400 dollar product collecting dust under his bed if I understood the OP correctly

It will fit. Any intake manifold or exhaust manifold that fits the non vtec H23 will fit our cars. The only problem is if you don't go turbo and put a intake manifold that is TOO big for your application. You may not see and gains at all but may loose power. Either way make sure you get it tuned.

I think the OBX manifold would be a benefit. Much like having a bigger H series plenum or the ever popular whale dick intake, it would hold more air for instant WOT. As long as you tune for it, it shouldn't be a problem.

Yes they are. Intake manifold design is pretty critical to making power.

I don't think that Venom style intake manifold would benefit a basically stock N/A motor. Too much plenum volume and the runners are too short and fat. Plus they don't seem to have any provisions for FITV, IACV and all that other shit. I would pass. An H23 IM has given documented power... a good 20+ WHP peak and noticeable gains from idle to redline.

Yes. "tune" refers to the ECU.

Here's someone's experience with the manifold on an H22:

                        http://www.honda-tech.com/showpost.p...37&postcount=5

If you're talking about the OBX intake. DONT DO IT. The install sucks! The manifold sits too low. It hits the lower motor mount bracket. grinding required. Fabrication of the throttle cable bracket and all the sensors required. The throttle body interfered with the fan switch. The manifold flange hits the EGR passage on the head. And it killed all my torque. Good power from 8000 rpm to 15000 rpm! LOL But it looked good.
What they should do is make the H22 manifold with the H23/F22A flange... but w/e... don't do it.

i think what you quoted was in reference to an eg with an h22 in it... later in that thread someone said this about the sheet metal intake manifold for the h22
about 6 months ago i bought the obx manifold just for shits and giggles because i had a skunk 2 mani and went boost so the manifold fit fine in my car its an excact replica of the venom manifold i took the obx had it ported and bored for my throttle body and i was very surprised to see it pick up power on my motor! i figured what the hell its only 150 bucks but hey it worked for me!!!
i'd personally be interested in this intake manifold... if it fits...

I think this is a more interesting proposition
