Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    lock/unlock problems

    when i lock my car it will lock but if i try to unlock it it wont whats the problem ?

    The problem is that it won't unlock.

      yeah it wont unlock with the door switch or the alarm?

        lol. I think it is the alarm, because if it doesn't do anything, it is not likely that all 4 lock motors died at the same time.

          Did you install the alarm, or was it already in when you got the car?

          I think you're looking for a broken or disconnected wire, possible in the drivers side under the fuse box and behind the carpet.

            well my alarm sometimes it will unlock it but most of the time it wont now the switch inside the door handle wont unlock it at all the driver or the passenger! so u think its the actuator!

              the alarm i got it install its just weird that i can unlock from the door handle switch!

                it can also be the lock rely box. I changed mines yesterday and in 4 other cb's and fixed it

                    No, I think it's a bad connection at the splice for the alarm. It could also be the relay as stated.

                          Were you able to fix it? Good info, T-Clyde, on how to access the lock relay box.

                            Drivers door lock actuator, or more likely the door lock position switch is faulty.
                            If the drivers door lock doesn't know its position then it won't fire the other door actuators.

                            The way this thread is worded is a bit confusing, to actually trying to help you with your problem.

                            1) - The doors lock but won't unlock, Correct?
                            2) - They only unlock sometimes, Correct?
                            3) - They don't work when using the alarm OR the key, Correct?
                            4) - An aftermarket actuator was fitted to the drivers door when the alarm was fitted, Correct?
