very tru on that matter guys. but since we all have 18+year old cars, im pretty sure the stock suspension is a bit too old. and i really dont care about a drop as long as it doesnt get higher or too low. 1" drop would be fine with me. but in all experiences with springs/struts and coilovers, what do u recommend for a smooth ride?

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Get H&R OEM spec springs, KYB AGX adjustable shocks, and replace ALL of your suspension bushings. Get a good set of all season touring tires on wheels no larger than 15". Get an alignment.
That will get you a very nice ride, better than it was 20 years ago. It won't be TOO expensive. $1200 or so in all, less if you can do some of the work yourself.

The OP just said he wants comfort. He didn't specify if he wants to go lower or not that I saw. With that in mind: get brand new OEM shocks and springs, get a polyurethane bushing kit, upgrade your rear sway bar, replace your balljoints, and get some wider wheels/tires and that alone will make a pretty good difference. There are no black and white suspension answers!!!!!!!!!!!

If yours are actually a quality design (and for that price, they had better be!) then I can see how that would be very good. For conversion purposes, 1300aud is about 1200usd.
The spring rate and the capability of the shock is what matters. They need to be matched. Adjustable shocks allow for this matching to be done by the owner of the car. However, that person needs to know what they're doing (I know more than many people on here, and I even I don't feel that I know enough to do that).
The best thing to do is buy shocks and springs from the same company. Contact them, and make sure that the items are designed to work together, and that they are correct for the CB chassis (many things are made for the CD, and just passed to us because they'll bolt up).
Jccck, you have me curious about that company. I've never heard of it before!
Damn... the only thing on the Pedders site is a coilover system for the 7th generation
I had to drop into one of their stores, have them enquire between their stores and then had a set of springs and shocks sent 12,000km from a warehouse all for me!
So i'm not suprised they aren't listed on the website lol
Like i said earlier, can't put enough emphasis on how close to the "Perfect Suspension" these are
The handling is like nothing i've ever driven.. My top of the line tyres are the only things holding the car back.. And maybe a slightly too-stock centre of gravity lol (It's only lowered about 1")Built & Boosted.
