ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

I installed an AEM Cold Air Intake and was very pleased with it. It did take some extra work enlarging the space below the battery into the wheel well. If you are worried about rain its not a big deal unless you are driving in a river of water i.e. more than a foot. Weapon R makes a nice short ram intake also.

I don't like aftermarket Air filters unless you are going force induction because it seems to drink more hot air than anything, unless you can block it off with a plate or something.

I just slapped a SRI on and it's a great decision. Wouldn't change it for the world!

With the taspro piece u can cut the bottom out of the stock box in creasing air flow, or u can try what i did remove the other half of the air box from ur fender and lower right bumper and cut a hole into the fender and grab one of those short style filters from outozone or advance and run ur intake to the fenderwell. Cold air, shorter, and high and dry from puddles. i took the fender off so i didnt have to cut such a big whole. But u could cut it out big enough to fit the filter through then cut a sheet of tin or alum. 2 fill in with some rubber strip or old weather atripping t seal.

I bought an AEM cold air intake(Blue) and simply followed the instructions. Could have done a better job cutting out the space for it extend into the wheel well area. I am happy with how it looks in the engine bay, sounds, and applies increased airflow. The flip side being in my 97 Acura CL (F22B1 SOHC VTEC) I went with a Weapon R short ram intake(Polished) much better quality. Had to custom fit a piece so it cleared the battery. You can check out a picture of the Acura's intake at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3366191/2

AEM's always fit that much better. There has been more thought put into fitment than ebay intakes. Still, I love the TAS hybrid setup. Can't get much better than a gunmetal aluminum pipe to stockbox.

                          life is good.

i had a full CAI on my last honda and hydro locked the motor..... bent some rods and such.... i would just go with a short ram..... with the low pressure being created your not going to be sucking any hotter air than with a full CAI. that TAS hybrid intake doesnt look to bad, but with the $90 price i would just buy a short ram with a nice filter or just buy a nice drop-in for the stock box

                              great price

I picked up a cold air for my 93' coupe last night from a local tuner shop for $45!!!

Its a China replica of AEM. Other than the black paint you would have thought I spent +$200 on it. Not sure how good the filter is but I can get myself their filter.

I will take pictures tomorrow of the parts and install tomorrow.
