ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    F22B SOHC VTEC Engine

Could A F22B SOHC VTEC Engine fit in my 1990 Accord LX

    #2
    Yes.

Search there's plenty of resources available for you to view at your leisure, and own pace to decide which engine swap may be best for you. The F22B sohc isn't really worth the swap imo, it only produces around 150hp. A better swap to look into would be the F20B, F22B dual cam, or maybe an H swap.

Poke around, you'll find all the info you need. I won't lay it out for you, but have provided you with my personal look on it and the basics.

    life is good.

X2, for performance either get an h22 or another f22a and boost it
f22b vtecs suck, they have a terrible flowing head, even though you can boost it but

Its up to you! good luck

That engine sucks, and wouldn't be worth the effort to swap.

You might as well get this one. It's an easy swap, and is well worth the price. It is actually about the same price as the one you were looking at.

I know it says F20B DOHC Non-VTEC, but it's actually a F20A DOHC. Tiger just made a mistake on the website. I actually just got one of these motors from tiger, and it looked to be practically brand new. Definitely a good choice if you are looking to swap.

Check out my MRT and I actually have a few pictures of it and such.

No problem man. F20A DOHC would be the swap for you considering you obviously want to keep things within a budget. It's faily easy, and cost effective. Just PM me with any questions you may have.

Just be careful with Tiger. They're in Canada, and while their reputation is better than most of the cheap Canadian engine importers... they're still in another country. If something goes wrong, and they don't fix the problem, you're shit out of luck.
