ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Car Alarm Problem... I think Stock

I get off my shift at work, get home at around 2:30am and at maybe around 4am, I hear a car alarm. I was sure it wasn't mine, but maybe it was my roomates or neighbors... I go check the cars and I couldn't believe that it was actually my car...
It wouldn't stop alarming... I've had the car for maybe 3 months and didn't know it had an alarm. I had to disconnect the battery to turn it off, and now when I reconnect it, it keeps going...
I don't have a remote or anything... Nor did I have knowledge of an alarm in my car... its a 92 LX 4door
I tried starting the car and locking/unlocking the doors to stop the alarm...
Anyone know how to disable it?

I would look for the alarm computer itself, like under the dash or hiden in an other place and just disconect it. Or call the previous owner and ask for remote...

How would I go about disconnecting it? I really don't even mind cutting the wires... It doesn't really work... It just started out of nowhere...

look under your steering wheel. You should see a black box underneath that has been tie wrapped or taped so it wouldnt fall down. I recommend that you just disconnect the wires from the box instead of cutting wires. You might cut the starter wire and you will definately have problems then.

If you can see the led from the alarm, start there and trace those wires, it'll lead you right to the brain. Good luck

if you can see the horn under the hood you can just slice the wires that go to it....
it happened to my honda when my dad had first gotten it...
we didnt know it had an alarm and it just started going off randomly one day...
we disconnected the horn... then he took it someplace so they could find the actual alarm system... but who ever did it made a mess and left all the wires there...

Couldn't find this alarm box... Checked under the seats, dash, and steering wheel... My car's horn never even worked...
Probably the weirdest thing ever with my car apart from the harry potter books that were attached to the bottom of the passenger seat...
Going to have my guy take a look it and see if he can rip it out.
              Thanks anyways guys

Alright... So... It was such fail...
So I messed around with the fuse box and took out the horn fuse... And it stopped the alarm... What I thought was an alarm was actually the horn, being held down and then switching over to some random pattern which made it seem like an alarm... The horn never did anything until now...
Oh that was just too cute...
