ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Car runs rough from 1.6k - 2k RPM

My accord just started doing this - wondering if anyone has had similar trouble. The acceleration isn't as smooth as it once was from 1.6k to 2k RPM. It slightly vibrates and just generally seems like it's struggling to accelerate. It doesn't sound as smooth either, kinda like it's sputtering. I mainly notice it in 1st gear but it does it in 4th too (and all other gears I'm assuming).

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Can anyone help me out?

I've been doing some research but haven't come up with anything promising. Maybe a misfire? But I'm not throwing a CEL. I changed plugs 3k miles ago. Maybe coils?

I'm confused because it's happening only at specific rpm and I'm not getting a CEL.

I had the exact same problem, Ended up being the o2 sensor. NGK work the best.

If you're having minor ignition misfires in your cylinder, the culprit is most likely a fouled plug. Have you tried doing a once-over tune up? Go ahead and replace the fuel filter--easy as pie, just a few bolts and a banjo bolt, make sure to relieve tank pressure first. Also, replace plugs, check your rotor in your dizzy cap, an o2 sensor could be it, I think it just needs a minor tune-up. Give us a shout back once you've taken the proper steps to ensure these type of things are in check.

          life is good.

My car is doing the same. I changed my fuel map to a richer one (not something you can do yet...) and it fixed the problem, so it's very likely that the o2 sensor is the problem.

Replace your o2 sensor with NTK or DENSO. DO NOT get a Bosch sensor. They're considerably cheaper, but they do not work properly... it'll be a waste of $65. NTK or Denso ONLY.

Replacing your spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, and ensuring that all electrical connections and grounds are tight and clean will also help a great deal.
