ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    headlight wiring issue

So I'm clueless as to the reason for these green wires, they both seem to be ground wires, one from the high beam? (inner light?), another (cut off and not connected to anything) coming from the other light wire, and one green ground coming from my driver side turn signal. Here are some pictures of the wiring. Should i replace the harness, buy new headlights, or if someone has a repair idea I'll be glad to hear it. It's a 91 LX.

Is the stock plug/harness still there? I couldn't tell in the picture.

It looks to me like a ghetto attempt to ground the headlights. Sometimes if you have really dim headlights improving the grounds can help, although doing it the way it is in the pictures is not the way to do it. It's usually indicative of a bigger electrical problem.

If I was you, I'd try just taking the ends off from the cylinder head ground and see if you headlights still work. If they do, you could just cut those wires out completely, and it will look cleaner and probably be safer, because those wires won't be hanging down by the accessory belts.

Yes, the stock plug and harness are still there. Its a very ghetto job by a previous owner.
I'm about to head to work (my headlight problem sucks for night driving) but once I'm home i can try finding a better ground and try to remove the front bumper to see if the wiring harness is cut or tapped into.
Additional info: The left side fuse blows anytime the driving lights or high beam arm is pulled, outer lights "blink" when a turn signal is used on that side.
As well as a wire going from the taillights, but have not been able to find where that wire goes, using the same gauge/color wire for everything is a bad idea. Thanks for the response.
