ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

To the OP;
I wouldn't run any KYB brand strut. I had tenzo springs on the GR2 struts (2in drop) and i blew them in 3 days! so i went and bought the AGX struts and they lasted a month. needless to say i was a little dissapointed in quality. I personally would save up for the Koni yellows. Read any post on here about people happy with thier suspensions and that what the have. Yes they are higher up front cost, however, i have not heard one person complain.

And i heard the koni STR.T (reds) were close to the yellows on performance with a different style of adjustment. Like they have to be uninstalled to adjust the stiffness. and i got that from a pretty reliable source.

Check your reliable source... because they are wrong. STR-Ts are Koni's low end. Non-adjustable sport shocks. The ones you described are the "reds". They offer the same features as the "yellows", but they are not externally adjustable. They're good if you have a static setup and you KNOW what you want the shocks set to... otherwise, ignorant street tuners like me need the adjustment on the fly.

Most people get ground controls to dump the car. The GR2 is not a very good shock for this, and the spring rates on the GC's are probably more than what the GR2's can handle properly.
There are four distinct Koni shocks for the CB7:
STR.T (orange) entry level, non-adjustable, but they have the reliability that Koni is known for. They shouldn't blow provided your spring rate doesn't exceed their damping force.
Koni Reds, they are adjustable, but off the car only. These are perfectly fine for reasons Deev already mentioned.
Koni Yellows, adjustable on the car with a knob, and 3 ride height perches.
Koni Yellow SP3(aka Neuspeed Koni) These have a 20mm shorter droop length and 5 ride height perches. By decreasing the length by 20mm, it gives a similar effect by adding a 20mm extended top hat to the car. Since there are no pre-made top hats available for the CB7, this should be your shock of choice ESPECIALLY with coilover sleeves like ground controls.
A friend of mine has Ground Controls with AGX's and his car is by far lower than mine. I would say its dumped. He has them turned up about half way and the ride is good and they haven't blown yet. Its been about a year. The adjustability on the AGX isn't as linear as the Koni and they don't have the ride height perches or the durability of a Koni though.
If you aren't doing something crazy stiff and you're wanting to save money, the AGX is fine.
For your ground controls though, the Koni yellow is the ideal shock for that setup. It's becoming a very popular setup with the civic/integra guys for a reason.
Just randomly off-topic: Deev, does Ohlins or Penske mean anything to you?Last edited by mndude07; 01-17-2010, 08:04 PM.There are no black and white suspension answers!!!!!!!!!!!

So my bad. and it was Astrovannin that was suggesting the reds for my drop if i didn't want full coilovers. that dude is the man when it comes to slamming.

All of which are cheaper then the yellows correct? There are no black and white suspension answers!!!!!!!!!!!
