ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

IACV cleaned. Idle is worse now

My car when it was cold usually did the up and down from 1k to 2k idle. Then after warming up it would be fine, occasionally go up.

But now after i read about the cleaning of the IACV valve, i cleaned it like i read on here. Then re installed it, and the car for a bit seemed okay. Then it just went beserk. Now it idles from 1k-3k. And even when warm it does that.

I must have done something wrong. Anyone have any ideas.

look at the FIT Valve. its on the right side of the intake manifold. mine was doing this for three days till i found the problem. I took mine off and shoke it and it was loose inside. i just replaced it with one i had off another manifold.or u can tighten it back in. there is a thread about that i believe.

i just done my FITV yesterday and it makes a huge difference...make sure you take the whole piece off and clean all the little parts with brake cleaner...you dont have to take the bottom part off that has the hoses connected to it...when you put it all back together tighten the white piece down more then what it was at...

Thanks guys, i looked for a thread on the fit valve, but cant find it. Its on the therottle body so ill look.

The idle is really bad, everyone at stop lights thinks im crazy. It does it when its warm and cold.

Im going to look at the fit valve, and hopefully that will be it.

I found the FITV and tried to unscrew the top lid. I got one of the screws off, but the other is jammed in there and wont budge. Great...

I hope that this is it.

its also leaking coolant, so im assuming that could also be the case why its idling badly.
