ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I think that you would be better off not doing any of that.96 mx-6, needs work...

the idea is to force air through the rotor, not to one side. Go to any SCCA race and the cars that perform constantly throughout the race are the cars that have legit brake kits.
We used to melt (yes melt, mushroom the pistons, deform the aluminum, all of it) the Brembo calipers on the EVO's after one weekend, since we made these brake ducts we haven't had to change that calipers after 4 race weekends and after 7 straight days at Road America for the National Championship. Meanwhile, the Corvettes in T1 are begging the competition board to allow for hub mounted brake ducts (all they have are the kits that push air onto the inside of the rotor) because they brake rotors all the time. I saw two cars in PRACTICE shatter the rotors because of insufficent cooling. And one of those drivers didn't enjoy the ambulance trip to the hospital.

Many teams use brake ducts exactly like I described. The air is fed in from the rear of the rotor and is circulated throughout the veins from the inside out. This picture is the kind of design I'm talking about
http://store.kennybrown.com/files/05...ake%20Duct.JPG
In fact, that AMS kit you posted up uses the exact same design
http://forums.evolutionm.net/evo-how...ll-evo-ix.html
I'm sure you know a lot and work with guys that know even more but don't think that just because I'm not on a race team or I don't want to throw away $500 on a brake ducting kit I'm ignorant to how one works or the benefits of their use.

Oh my bad I thought you said,
"1. Buy cheap bumber lights off ebay
2. Pull the front of them off
3. Attach dryer ducting to the back of them
4. Cut hole in dust shield
5. Attach dryer ducting to the back of them"
Sorry I didnt realize you meant, make a new dust shield. My bad.

I'd say for 99% of the people here on the forum, brake ducts are not worth the cost, just for the fact that very few are racing and would benefit from doing this.
However by no means would I not want to see a kit come to market for the CB. The more parts we have available the better!
Can't wait to see what some people can come up with for our old clunkers.

I think we are all getting off the topic here. I simply started this thread to see if there were any kits out there. Not to get into a pissing match with anyone. If you do like great, if you don't like it great. It's my car, it's my brake duct, it's my opinion. That's all. Sorry if this thread has seemed to start any arguments.

I'm excited to see what you and possibly other members can come up with because fabricating is TONS of fun, well at least I think it is.
