ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

You can for sure use the muffler.

As for the piping itself, you may be able to use bits and pieces, but you'll definitely have to weld some extra pipes on there.

Please make your thread titles descriptive, so people will know what they're looking at. The answers given to help you are also intended to help others that search in the future.

The exhaust from an EG won't fit. The muffler is about all you can use.

      And it's resonator, not resignator.

Would you like to hear my resonation speech? Haha

If the muffler+resonator are of a good size, 2.25 or 2.5" then sure, hack em off and take them to an exhaust shop.. Piping and labour isn't expensive, mufflers are.

There really won't be enough of the piping that's the right size to make a difference. Hack off the muffler, get a shop to custom-make you piping, and sell the pipe from the EG to someone with an EG.

And are you sure it's 2.5"? 2.5" on an EG would be serious overkill, unless the car was running a big engine, had heavy mods, or was turbo. Or he was just a ricer... which is likely.

I think "Tanabe exhaust" is a dead give away. My opinion.

The muffler is the only piece that is going to work. Luckily for you, this is usually the most expensive piece at a shop.

I missed that it was Tanabe. If that's the case, it's probably no bigger than 60mm. Most Japanese exhaust systems are that size. For a smaller engine, it should be less.

Tanabe is decent. Not really a ricer brand.

I just have a hatred of cans on Hondas. I think oval mufflers are the way to go. My opinion.

I should stay away after working a 12 hour day...

Either way, it came off a Civic. Most of the piping will not fit. The muffler will be good, though.
