Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Vehicle Speed Sensor

    Hey guys,
    So basically my speed sensor issue has gotten worse, the speedo almost never works and the tcu/ sports mode is blinking. I ran the CEL and it was indeed my speed sensor. I called around and the auto recyclers said that I have to buy that at an auto parts store. I called Napa, and they don't carry VSS's. I also called autozone, they had them but for 143 dollars.

    So right now I need to get one because my car has really been acting up. Where should I purchase one? Are the Ebay ones good? are they universal (I have a 91 LX). I just can't see myself spending 140 on a little sensor.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    i got mine from the local junkyard and works fine
    i got mine for about 15 bucks with 90 warranty!

      junk yard or ebay. theres nothing wrong with the ebay ones.

        i got mine off of ebay a year or two ago and it works fine best thing it was only 30 or so bucks.

          i might be needing a VSS pretty soon mines went to zero and back up to speed ,must when its a cold day.

                just got one from ebay it works like a charm and it was 20 bucks ... go with ebay

                  The sensor itself on top of the VSS can be replaced. There's nearly no reason you need to replace the whole thing. I did this about 6 weeks ago. The junk yard is probably your best bet. There are a LOT of Accords out there.
