ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

The ECU's are interchangable. Doesn't matter which trans the ECU is.

It will work, however I don't think your torque convertor will lock it like its supposed to. I had the same setup in my Accord.Originally posted by nine_deuceWhat I'd do is this: spray brake fluid in her eyes, shoot her with a nail gun, while she's down, give her a "chili dog" or a "strawberry shortcake" a "rusty fish hook is always fun"

LOL at 65 u should be at 3.3 AT MOST !!! i know at 90 im at 4k and btwn 70-80 im at 3.5
with that DX ECU your butterflies arent opening so ur only running on half the runners, basically strangling your engine hahaa
ECU is very important to a motor. u can cause just as much harm modding or using the wrong ECU as you can every other way imaginable to deteriorate a motor. if you dont know how to properly mod and tune your motor then u shouldntLast edited by xkjnboix; 12-20-2009, 12:36 AM.

You guys are all asking the wrong question. He says the car is auto, but I'm afraid some (most) of you are thinking that the car has a manual trans. The OP isn't very clear.
What trans is in the car? Manual or automatic?
If the car is automatic, then someone up there was correct- you'll just need the automatic TCU

Ahhhhh, I see. That makes sense. Glad I learned something. And in the OP's first post, he says his car is an auto, and he's using a 5 speed ecu.Originally posted by nine_deuceWhat I'd do is this: spray brake fluid in her eyes, shoot her with a nail gun, while she's down, give her a "chili dog" or a "strawberry shortcake" a "rusty fish hook is always fun"

My point is that the CAR can be auto (so it already has the auto TCU and associated wiring harness in it) but the transmission is a manual trans. I would assume that he meant exactly what you said, but I thought it more prudent to make sure first before offering advice.
